A Monroe woman faces multiple charges, including improper supervision of a minor by a parent, after marijuana was found on her 10-year-old daughter during a traffic stop.

According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Louisiana State Police, a trooper saw a Tahoe traveling southbound on Louisiana 15 with the driver and two passengers not wearing seat belts and dark window tint on the driver's side.

The trooper made contact with the driver, Claire Anne Jones, 36, 1013 Florida St,. and reported he immediately smelled marijuana. When questioned, Jones said when she picked up the rear seat passenger, identified as Terrance Reed, 23, she told him, "I smell some good green on you."

She said Reed, who was sitting directly beside her daughter, told her he smoked it all. She also said Reed was a known drug user.

When asked for his name, Reed reportedly provided troopers with a false identification, which he later said he did due to outstanding warrants.

While executing a search of the vehicle, troopers found a digital scale with marijuana debris on it in Jones' purse. A bag of marijuana was found under the Reed's seat in a pink backpack and in the child's pants, according to an affidavit.

The report states Reed told troopers, the child had "weed in her pants." With her mother's permission, the child removed a plastic bag of marijuana from her pants. She said Reed gave her the bag and she told him no. He then reportedly grabbed her waist band and placed the marijuana in the front side of her pants.

When troopers asked the occupants what Reed entered the vehicle with without revealing the search results, all occupants said he got in with the pink backpack. Mail featuring Reed's numerical address was also found in the bag.
